Health centre services

Here is some information about our services that will be available at the health centre:

Smoking Cessation – Our team of experienced cessation practitioners are available to help you stop smoking. We provide one on one support and advice either by telephone, in your home or in the surgery. Nicotine replacement therapy is available free of charge. Ask the doctor, nurses or receptionist for a referral.

Mental Health – Our mental health nurse is available to help you to achieve mental wellbeing. She will see you on a one to one basis or with your extended family at a venue to suit you. Referral is through the doctor or nurses.

Dietetic Service – The dietitian and nutritionist are available to give you advice on managing your diabetes and other nutritional needs. They can assist with healthy eating for the whole family. Ask the receptionist, doctor or nurses for a referral.

Podiatry – The podiatrist will be visiting to hold clinics on a regular basis. He will assess and treat problems and give health education to help you avoid future problems. Referral is through the doctor or nurses or ask the receptionist.

Would like a tattoo removal service at the Bridge?  Ask the receptionist and we will see if we can bring our service to the new health centre.

Back at the Mangere Health Centre we have a completely digital xray service – so you can have your xray and the image will be seen on the GPs computer screen before you can get back to the Bridge!
